Since this whole week has been revolving around Mabel with her upcoming first birthday on Thursday, I realized that I’m guilty of never sharing her nursery with you all. I’ve received numerous requests to to a video tour of her room, and it’s been on my to do list…but I just can never find the time.
But you’re in for a treat today with some gorgeous photos taken by our amazing photographer Jenna Walcott. She was in the room when Mabel took her first breath and will also be joining us this weekend to take photos of little Mabel and her cake smash…I honestly can’t say enough amazing things about Jenna and her work. Plus she puts up with constant emails/FB messages from me.
I seem to have an obsession with peacock feathers so when thinking of a color scheme for Mabel’s nursery I decided to stick with greens, purples, blues, and gold tones. I wanted it to be a unique nursery that no other little girl out there had. And I think I succeeded! I found most of the pieces of artwork and furniture on Etsy because I like one of a kind things. I also feel passionate about finding vintage pieces that have a story behind them to give that homey feeling to a room.
These photos were all taken a few days after Mabel’s birth and you’ll see some very sweet newborn photos thrown into the mix of the nursery shots.
Enjoy.
If you have any questions about the nursery, leave them in the comment section and I’ll do my best to answer them.
And if you’re in need of an awesome photographer and you live in Maryland, D.C and select spots in Delaware, I highly suggest that you get in touch with Jenna!
