I’m finally getting around to posting Week 2 for my 2014 Project Life. :) It’s been done for awhile but we’ve been visiting family in Texas so I’ve been delayed with posting it. I tried to stick to a color scheme of turquoise and gray and it came out a bit more muted than I thought it would, but it was a fun challenge.

I decided to try stamping a bit more (on the coffee card and throughout the layout) and enjoyed it but I only have one color ink pad right now so that’s why everything is black. Most of the little embellishments you see are from my Studio Calico kits.
This week’s title card/week card was pretty simple…just some alpha stickers, date stamps, an enamel dot and some ripped paper for the sides.
One of my favorite parts about this week’s layout is how I included a piece of Mabel’s art:
I was able to take a photo of her coloring, then I made sure to save the coloring sheet and then cut it to fit some of the Project Life pockets.
I’m also officially in love with enamel dots.

One thing that I’m trying to make an effort to do is to take photos with me in them. I have so many photos of Mabel and my husband but I’m never in them. I’m always too self conscious about how I look or I’m always the one taking the photos so I never end up in them. So I’ve made it a point to be in the photos. I don’t want to miss those moments and I don’t want Mabel to not have any photos with me in them.
Another thing I’m trying to work on is layering embellishments. I think it helps to create depth so this is a card that I’m pretty happy about not to mention that I think Mabel’s shoe obsession is pretty darn cute.
And lastly, I’m still love sewing on cards!
Hopefully I’ll get back on track and get the next few weeks posted on the blog soon! Stay tuned!
